Apolipoprotein C-III

Apolipoprotein C-III (apoC-III) is a mucin core1 and mucin core2 O-glycosylated protein secreted by the liver and intestine.

In our experience, 2-DE of apoC-III showed mucin core1 abnormalities in ATP6V0A2-CDG, CCDC115-CDG, COG-CDG and in SLC35A1-CDG. For informations about glycosylation of apoC-III, you can contact us here.

We previously showed that MALDI-TOF of circulating apoC-III is an interesting technique for the fast screening of COG-CDG and ATP6V0A2-CDG.
