2D-CDG glycoproteins maps

Human serum/plasma proteins are separated according to charge and molecular weight. After transfer to nitrocellulose, glycoproteins of interest are revealed using specific antibodies. 2-DE glycoproteins maps show glycoforms of transferrin (Trf), alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT), haptoglobin (Hpt), orosomucoid (oroso) and apolipoprotein C-III (apoC-III) in controls and in various CDG cases. Trf, AAT, Hpt and oroso are N-glycosylated proteins while apoC-III is mucin core1 O-glycosylated.
